Question: Sun Poisoning???
I got this really bad sun burn on my face. Normally it just peels and thats that. But know my whole face swelled up. Mainly my nose and my cheeks under my eyes. I put aloe on it but the swelling isen't going down. And water is like comeing out of my skin.
Is thier a better way to make the swelling go down? And does it sound like I have sun poisoning?
Plz Help!!
I suggest going to a dermatoligest
Sounds like you have sun blisters, you may want to see a doctor.
Sun poisoning can mean a few different things. If it is just the common reaction to a sunburn, it could be from an excess of vitamin D created by the UV rays, and some of the B vitamins being destroyed. For that reason taking a B complex including folic acid would be a good idea. Avoid D for a while. What you describe seems like it is an inflammation that goes beyond the usual, so I would try an anti-inflammatory like aspirin or naproxyn sodium. I would also try an antihistamine like Benadryl. You should see a dermatologist if you are able to. You might be prescribed something like cortizone creme, or a number of other things, but I would not try them unless it was with the doctor's advice. Stay out of the sun, even a little bit, until you are completely healed.
