answer

Good Evening,

You didn't indicate how tall you were, so to assess whether or not 175 pounds is a healthy weight for you is difficult.

With that said, you said you've had a cold with phlegm for about a week now. Have you taken any over the counter medications that are made for congestion or have you seen your doctor for this cold?

The congestion can cause you to have that "tingly - butterfly" feeling that you described, but if it's lower, there is a chance perhaps that you might have something more than a cold; especially since you're experiencing being lightheaded.

Never swallow down the phlegm; always expel it into a tissue. You're not going to get well if you keep the congestion moving around in your body.

The last thing you want to have happen is developing bronchitis or a form of pneumonia.

Ask your mom to make you an appointment with your doctor if this does not start easing up in the next day or so with the congestion.

Hope you feel better soon.

You sound pretty healthy honey, you play sports and are young. You have had cold for a while so , I think it is still from your cold. If you are not better in 5-6 more days or you ever become short of breath go to ER. Good Luck with sports this yr., take care & God Bless
