Question: Hernia please help??
i have a sharp pain near my groin close to my last ab muscle near the top left. it does not feel like a muscle that is building muscle,pain or a pain after you workout a muscle. there is no bulg but it hurts when i touch it downward, or when i move in an akward position. i was doing ab workouts like 2 days agobut did not hurt.

Ya if its a herniation you don't want to chance it. Have a doc check you. If you get a fever anytime soon go to the hospital...incase its your appendix.
Sound like a hernia. Best go to the doctor to be safe.

it is eithher gas, or it could be a hernia. take gas medication, and drink a few glasses of water, because water with hydrate it. it is also possible that you have torn a muscle in your abs from working out 2 consecutive days in a row if it gets worse within a day, go to the hospital so they could check it out.
If the muscle bulges when you cough, then that is a sign of a hernia. Serious problems can occur if not treated by a Dr. also.

What might not feel like a bulge to you, might actually be one. Also, it might not be to the point of bulging yet; and could be just a thinning at this time.
Make an appointment with your doctor who will know what to feel for. S/he can decide whether or not you have developed a hernia or perhaps tore; strained; or pulled a muscle.

If you have pain, but no bulge, the abdominal wall may be tearing, but there is no intrusion yet. If it is a hernia, nbd I have had 2 repaired, the last only 2 weeks ago. It's a big improvement over having one. Best wishes brother !
