Question: Medical/Athletic Equipment accident...need help!?

My friend was playing with a 34" Mizuno bamboo baseball bat tonight, and he slipped. Unfortunately, he is now impaled on about half of the handle, including the knob, and scared to pull it out because it is painful in that hole. What should we do now? I love Jesus, but we drink a little on a Saturday night and play some Willie Nelson songs, so this is not really too normal for us.
