i have this interview and i realllly want the job, i know that the way an interviewee makes an impression not just by what they know but what they wear, and i want to look good.
i an 5ft 5 and i am slightly overweight, and would like some ideas on the best way to dress to impress , please x
answer

I got no idea what kind of job this is but i'll give it a shot. Rent yourself a nice Black suit get a dark red tie, make sure to use manners sit straight and DO NOT lean on anything. Good luck man hope you get the job!
answer

I have the same problem, I tend to wear a black pencil skirt, smart top and cropped smart linen jacket with black tights and dark mary-jane shoes. If you are slightly overweight as I am then I feel that a pencil skirt is a flattering cut, as well as being a smarter option than trousers.

Just make sure you feel comfortable in it, and it fits, and is not creased. And make sure the components go together - ask a friend/family for advice. Try out the outfit before the interview.
answer

Don't wear all black - too severe! It will look like you're conscious about your size and not look natural.
Go for a pair of bootleg/flared tailored trousers, a nice shirt (perhaps short sleeved) but not too tight. and a pretty scarf to go round your neck. Perhaps neural colours will look best - it really depends on your skin/hair colour. Finish off with a pair of heels/boots.
This will look classy and professional.

when i have an interview i always stick too a black suit, keep minimum make up and jewellery but have a brighter/colourful top/bag/shoes so u dont look like your going to a funeral lol. im a size 14-16. but if you still feel REALLY uncomfortable get one of them tummy tucker-in things (like bridget jones pants, that go from the top of your thighs up until just before your bust) good luck for your interview =)
